Tameka is committed to empowering our young girls and making sure their voices are heard at all levels.  First Gen Success was created by her vision to achieve this and preparing our future generation for a sustainable education and access to many opportunities. 

By being a product of a first generational graduates; she understands the importance of preparing our future scholars. With her many years of corporate experience and voluntarism in the mentoring space gives her the knowledge and capacity to achieve this worthy vision. Also, spends her time being a social justice advocate and community partner.

Tameka earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration majoring in Finance & Marketing at The University of North Carolina at Charlotte and her Masters in Business Administration at Gardner Webb University.

Chemere is a data scientist strategist, educator, mentor, and community builder. 

Her extensive work understanding and unveiling unique behaviors using descriptive and prescriptive analysis provides high level visual insights that results in action. 

Being a first generational college student, she has helped paved the way for our female scholars and sharing her passion for data science. Throughout her career, she has held many senior level positions that has accredited her to be one of the top in her field. 

Also, as an advisory committee member for Mecklenburg County Information Services & Technology Advisory Committee gives her the ability to provide a systematic and well-grounded approach to First Gen Success.

Chemere earned her Bachelors in Health & Exercise Sciences and Masters in Business Adminstration at The University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

"I focus on individuals to see their goals through their eyes. I give personal proactive advice after understanding each person’s measure of success." Julie's passion to others and always strive to support others in their endeavors including our future female scholars. 

Julie is a certified public account and principal of her major firm, LBA Haynes Strand located in Charlotte, NC.

In 2014, Julie was named the Board President of NAWBO Charlotte where she has been a member for over 10 years and has held many positions, including Treasurer.  NAWBO is the National Association of Women Business Owners and is a national organization that provides resources and knowledge to women business owners.

Jess is an expert in the financial and capital banking field with over 10 years experience. By having the ability to understand complex financial business models and managing portfolios through financial reviews, valuation analyses, management diligence sessions, and industry research is a core pillar to continuously evolve our programming model.

Her recent accomplishments include; Member of Junior League of Charlotte;, 2018 Pinnacle Award and 2017 Community Support Campaign co-lead for Corporate Banking.

She earned her Bachelors of Arts in Finance Major Financial Markets. During her time there she was a teaching assistant for Introduction to Financial Management and Research which further sparked her passion to support our youth.

Rose is a passionate educator that has first on-hand experience in the classroom to the district level in Fayetteville, North Carolina. By being able to see the education system from a holistic perspective; she understands the importance of a strong academic program.

Her unique approach and experience is instrumental in First Gen Success and able to personally assess each of our scholars throughout the program will set them up for ultimate success.

She is a first generational college student with a Bachelors and Masters in Education. A sustainer through the Junior League of Fayetteville Chapter and an active community innvoator and role model.

Lisa is an community advocate and inclusive event designer. As a consultant for Strategic Development and Even Design Consultant with Non Profits supports our unique programming efforts and longstanding foundation for First Gen Success. 

She serves as an ambassador for the Metrolina Association for the Blind and accomplished several exclusive events such as the Country Music Awards in 2019.

Serving on several local community boards and an active chair for the Junior League of Charlotte chapter.

Tracy has over  20+ years of successful global operational, consulting, sales and marketing experience in the technology industry. Currently serving as the President & CEO at Metrolina Association for the Blind has furthered her proven track record and leadership skills in building new organization initiatives ranging from technology, business process, sales, marketing, new practice development, start-ups, promotions and channel programs driving millions in annuity based revenue.

Also, with a deep experience working with enterprises, SMB and franchise based organizations for strategy, operations, sales, marketing and technology initiatives combined with broad experience vertically with various channels in the industry.

By being a first generation college graduate, she understands the importance of being fully prepared and having the necessary tools for success!

Cheri is an experienced and results-driven attorney with a strong track record of success in both in-house and independent counsel roles.  As current Managing Attorney at Hamilton Legal Group LLC has  of Areas of expertise span contracts law, real estate, employment law, and state & federal regulatory matters among others. Excel at building and fostering effective communication pipelines with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate ongoing negotiations and achieve client goals with a strong management background and team player.
